History

Konstantine “Dino”

After coming to America, Konstantine would take a small Greek market, which he established in 1963 in downtown Washington, D.C., and turn it into a flourishing restaurant which thrived for over 30 years. Managed with the help and life-long dedication of his only son Gregory, the restaurant was where life happened and families grew. Eventually moving business away from the city, Gregory and family carry on Konstantine’s legacy and his passion for serving good food in a place filled with friends, family, and laughter. Today, you can join in that celebrated tradition, in a taverna that feels like home and a place in our heart that will always be Konstantine’s.

FAQ’s

Are pets allowed ?

Although we have extensive outdoor seating, pets are not permitted in any dining area, (which includes the lawn, tent, or patio dining), regardless of being indoors, outdoors, enclosed, etc. Eating establishments which allow pets in any dining area without a special license are in violation of county health regulations. Although we love and have pets at our own homes, we ask everyone to respect the rules and keep pets at home. Service dogs, of course, are allowed. The U.S. Department of Justice has specific details listed on their website regarding the ADA, (Americans with disabilities act), regarding service animals, to help everyone to understand and support the needs of those who qualify. Just as one should not park in a “handicap” parking spot without a legitimate disability, we ask that guests do not abuse the rights of the disabled by presenting pets as service animals.

Can I bring my own wine?

Guests are permitted to bring their own wine when following the laws / guidelines required by the county. All alcohol must be opened and served by our staff. Please give the bottle(s) to your server or host upon being seated. There is a $25 per bottle corkage fee. You may take any unconsumed alcohol home if properly resealed by our staff.

Can I bring a cake?

All food that is consumed on the premises must be prepared by a licensed facility which is inspected by the local board of health. When making your reservation, please inform our host/hostess of your intent to bring in food. Similar to bringing in alcohol, any food must be given to our staff upon arrival. Food, such as cakes, etc., that is to be consumed on our premises must be accompanied by a receipt which shows the date of purchase and the facility from which it was purchased. There is a $3.00 per person “plating” fee for all guests in a party for any food sourced elsewhere.

Do you split checks?

We can split checks. In order to provide more prompt service to your party as well as other guests at Konstantine’s, we request that splitting checks is limited as much as possible. If each guest or group of guests would like their tab to include only their specific choices, please inform your server at the beginning of service so they can separate tabs accordingly. We can split (2) checks with different totals per party. We do not split specific items after orders have been submitted by the server. Otherwise, if a simple 50/50 , 33/33/33 split is desired, we do not require the separation of checks/tabs from the beginning of service. We can evenly split up to 6 checks per table, (with each check having an equal total).

Is service charge / gratuity automatically included?

For parties of 7 guests or greater, a minimum of 20% gratuity will be added to the total.
